Let's be honest

it's been awhile.

What I am listening to now is the new Mos Def album Ecstatic.
So far so good. Haven't listened to the whole thing yet.
I like the song Quite Dog Bite Hard
It's funky and cool.

I Can Be The Wall

Ok so I can't download pics for the musical artists so you will have to use your imaginations tonight ;)

I am just going to go...

Renaissance - Mat Kearney:

If you like romantic pop/singer-songwriter love songs than this one is for you! Probably my favorite Mat Kearney song. It just belongs on a Grey's soundtrack or some romantic movie when the couple FINALLY kisses. Don't worry, you won't die of super sugary sweetness. (or even get a cavity) Yes, it's pop but it's GOOD pop... it does exist!
So if you want to feel like you just fell in love put this tune on and cry like your watching The Notebook or Extreme Home Makeover.

Boneless -The Notwist:

Just heard of this German indie band. I looked them up on Pitchfork and their album Neon Golden got a 9.2 so Music Snobs, their is something her for you too!!!
I don't know how I would describe this song.... Good?
Pretty mellow jell-o

Conrete Heart - Great Lake Swimmers

This song is a feeler. Yupp I guess I am a sap this week.
The vocals are brilliant on this song (like duh, it's GREAT LAKE SWIMMERS)
So beautiful, it makes my heart hurt.... in a good way.

should I sign this... other people sign their blogs... Tacky???? Thoughts????

for now mine will be this:

*~***XoXooO ~LuvErz~ <3 <333~*** ;* XoXXX~OooOXXX :) MuAHHH ;***xo

Her Heels So High, My Hopes So Low

Songs of the day!! Will I make it before midnight????
Alright so I spent to discovering new and old music alike.
I watched the DVD that comes with the Stars album "In Our Bedroom After The War"
It was so inspiring and beautiful. (Musically and Visually)
It reminded me of when I saw them open for Death Cab a few years ago.
That was one of the best live shows I have ever seen.

anyway....

Gila - Beach House:

Oh what can I say... Beach House is one of those brilliant bands that has gotten better over time. I am lucky enough to have discovered them when they are that much better. I have a place in my heart for the organs in this song.

Your Love - The Outfield:

I am not the biggest 80's music fan but when I hear Tony Lewis belt out "JOSIE'S ON A VACATION FAR AWAY" I can't help but belt it out.

And of course with my day filled with Stars music I had to add one of their million amazing songs. (yeah it's just a pic of Amy... I love the rest of the band but this pic was too good to pass up.)

The First Five Times - Stars:

This song is about sex, so how could you go wrong?
I love the lyrics because the take a subject that so many 'artists' and people treat extremely lightly and make it personal and meaningful.

Songs of The Past Few Days

So I got a little sidetracked this weekend and haven't been updating my songs of the day. That doesn't mean I didn't have them planned out. Here are the songs that filled my weekend with melancholy bliss.

Let Me Roll It - Paul McCartney & Wings

I heard a cover version on this song and loved it. I discovered it was Paul McCartney & Wings and the original version is priceless. I love the sound of the electric guitar, the echoing-far-away voice of Paul. The slow but steady beat. It's a great, slow, rock song.
After downloading and listening to the song several times I realized I already had the song and the entire album on my computer already.... a true sign I need to look through my library more often.

Twenty-Two Fourteen - The Album leaf

I have loved The Album Leaf for quite some time now. I think I knew I loved them when I watched a short documentary of them... on some channel (not really sure)
I guess I enjoy most of the songs but this one sticks with me. It's a song that get me thinking on a long walk. It never gets old.

Armistice - Phoenix

Well at first gander I did not enjoy this band. With encouragement from a friend I gave them another chance on their new album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. I am really enjoying it. Maybe they got better. It's also possible I was listening to "short-lived British hard-rock band." ahaha.
